I have been composing tunes and playing finger style jazz and bluegrass guitar in the Washington D. C. area since the 1980’s as a soloist, leader of the Jimmy Joyce Quartet, and other groups including many of the finest musicians in the DMV. My regular gigs included appearances at the Market 5 Gallery at Eastern Market sponsored by the DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities and at the Emerald Isle restaurant on Capitol Hill.
